Portland Family Photographer
As a Portland family photographer, I’m not here to line everyone up and tell you to smile at the camera. I’m here for the real stuff. Family photo sessions are so much more than just snapping a few pictures. They’re about creating real memories. It’s about those little moments—the laughter, the hugs, the silly faces—that make up the story of your family. And what better way to hold onto those moments than with photos you can display around your home? Every time you look at them, you'll be reminded of the joy and love you share. So, let’s make some memories together—whether it’s in a field of flowers or wherever your family’s heart feels happiest.
Family is everything, and I want to capture all the little things that make your heart beat. Whether we’re running through the forest with your littles or just hanging out at home, I’m all about those intimate, real moments. It’s not just about posing for the camera—it’s about capturing the moments you might not even think to take a photo of, because those are often the ones that mean the most.
Your session will be all about what you love to do—whether it’s having dinner outside, going for a walk, or splashing around in the river. I want to document all of that as your Oregon family photographer, so you can look back and relive those memories for years to come.
More about Your Oregon Family Photographer
I have a baby boy that I am completely obsessed with, so now I get it in a way I didn’t before.
How fast everything changes. How the little things become the big things. How you blink, and suddenly they’re not so little anymore.
And it’s not the “perfect” moments you remember.
It’s the messy ones, the loud ones, the ones where nothing is really going as planned. But somehow… those are the ones that mean the most. That’s what I want to give you. Photos that feel like your real life right now.
And Family is everything, not in a cheesy way, in a real, everyday kind of way.
Whether we’re:
running through the forest
hanging out at home
or just letting your kids do their thing
I’m not here to make it feel posed or forced.
I’m there to document the moments you might not even think to take a photo of…because those are usually the ones you’ll come back to the most.
“Zack and I went through the photos and we loved them so so much!! We haven’t had photos done in a couple years and I am so excited to sprinkle them all over our home when we get back !! Can’t wait to show you! Every summer we are yours! <3”
What Do Family Sessions Actually Look Like? (FAQ)
What do we actually do during a family session?
Honestly… whatever you already love doing together! Your session isn’t about performing for the camera.
It can look like:
dinner outside
walks around your neighborhood
splashing in the river
running around until everyone’s tired and laughing
I’m not there to create fake moments. I’m there to document what’s already happening.
So you can actually be in it and still have something to hold onto later.
What if we have no idea what we’re doing?
Perfect. You’re exactly like everyone else!
Most families show up like: “okay… what do we do??” And I promise, you don’t need to know anything. I’ll guide you when you need it!
But most of the time? I’m just paying attention to the moments that naturally happen. That’s where the magic is.
What if my kids don’t sit still?
Good. I don’t want them to! The best photos don’t come from kids standing still and smiling perfectly.
They come from:
running around
being silly
doing their thing
Your kids don’t need to behave for this to be good. They just need to be themselves.
Do we need a perfect location?
Not at all!
Some of my favorite sessions happen:
at home
in your neighborhood
somewhere you already go all the time
It doesn’t need to be “epic” to matter.
It just needs to feel like your life.
“These photos turned out beautifully! We can’t thank you enough for capturing our family— Candidly meeting meeting us where we are and still being able to draw out all of the expessions!”
