Contla Family

Xan and I have been talking for years about getting together and doing a family photo session in West Linn when they are here visiting with family. Timing has been off and we could not make it work until THIS SUMMER! WE finally made it happen and it was the most magical evening running around with Zack and Xan and their 3 fiercely independent and creative kids.<3 It is always a treat being able to capture young families because there is a lot of grace and patience in play and it really is so much fun just shadowing them while they play with each other. I normally don’t really pose for family sessions because well it is not easy trying to get kids to sit and smile at the camera AND it feels very forced. All they want to do is go swimming and jump on and off of rocks, so that is exactly what we did! There was no shortage of little tender moments between Zack, Xan, and their kids. The love was palpable and I couldn’t help but smile and laugh the whole time. This evening was one that I will never forget and I am forever grateful that I was able to freeze these memories.<3
